Concept Drawing inspiration from the nocturnal atmosphere, I integrated orchid, jasmine, and other flowers to create an elegant and mysterious visual experience. Through delicate lighting and purplish color tones, the promo video visualizes the poetic diffusion of fragrance as it drifts through the stillness of the night. Research Founded in 1952 and based in Paris, Chloé&nbsp;is a luxury fashion house celebrated for its distinctive blend of freedom, naturalness, and femininity. The brand’s aesthetic is light, effortless, and boho-chic — embodying a modern sense of romance and individuality. Concept The title sequence I designed for the TV series centers around an atmosphere that blends luxury with dark tones, showcasing the entanglement of money and power through meticulously arranged props. The exquisite play of light and shadows, combined with camera movements, reveals the protagonist's game of desire and conspiracy, setting the tone for the series, and portraying the complexities of human nature and society. Research The 2017 drama Black Leather Notebook, adapted from Seicho Matsumoto’s acclaimed novel, tells the story of Motoko Haraguchi, an ordinary bank clerk who seizes control of her fate in a male-dominated world. After embezzling a large sum of money from her bank, she meticulously records every transaction in a black leather notebook—a symbol of both her crime and her power. Armed with this ledger, Motoko manipulates influential men and exposes the hypocrisy of a society driven by greed and desire. It aims to present the film’s core characters and mythological elements through creative concepts and cross-cultural communication. The project includes the design of the French edition’s main poster as well as the conceptualization and design of related merchandise. Concept During the design process, I extracted key visual elements from the film—mythological figures, weapons, and epic scenes—to develop visuals suited to the French market. The project combines the film’s large-scale narrative with emotional nuance, applying symbolic forms to ensure the visual language aligns with the film’s artistic identity and resonates with French audiences. Background Creation of the Gods I: Kingdom of Storms grossed over $373 million, ranking among the top-grossing mythological films in Chinese cinema. The film shifts from a simple “mythological tale” to a “human epic,” using a rational narrative to reinterpret the spiritual core of the Investiture of the Gods legend. Rather than focusing on divine battles, it centers on faith, order, and the collapse of human morality. The work translates the rhythm, dynamics, and emotional intensity by evolving abstract forms. Light, particles, and wing-like structures expand, contract, and transform in synchronization with the sound, creating an immersive dialogue between music and imagery. By combining large-scale imagery, spatial depth, and precise audio-visual synchronization, the piece simulates the experience of watching a live performance in which the stage itself responds to the singer’s voice. Thus, the visuals create an immersive environment around them, allowing the audience to experience the song through both sound and space. Concept My inspiration comes from the emotional contrast within Okay: the pain of losing someone and the strength required to let them go. I interpreted this tension through the image of wings. The wings symbolize love, freedom, and courage, while their repeated opening and closing suggest the struggle between holding on and letting go. The dark environment represents loneliness and suppressed emotion, while the luminous forms suggest memories gradually emerging. As Dimash’s voice rises in intensity, the visual forms become larger, brighter, and more complex. This close synchronization allows the visuals to behave like an extension of the music. Research Okay is a song about the farewell of love. Its lyrical protagonist remains emotionally attached to a lost love but chooses to face the separation with calmness and restraint. The word “okay” therefore carries an emotional contradiction: it sounds like acceptance, yet underneath it are grief, longing, and unresolved memories. In my work, this contradiction is expressed through the continuous transformation of the wing’s shapes. They sometimes resemble a complete, powerful body and sometimes fragment into particles or disappear into darkness.
