Concept
The New Language of Hairdressing Flowers is a recontextualization of painting through augmented reality. The design is not only a digital innovation of traditional ancient paintings, but also a reflection on art, time and society, and an experiment on the "cultural value of post-digital society" of traditional paintings.
As a space to accommodate human beings and their activities, painting interweaves multiple and complex interrelationships among human beings, nature and society. The women in "Ladies Wearing Flowers" were stereotyped at the historical moment of Tang Dynasty and imagined to be the objects of gaze of outsiders. However, by transcending the time and space of the original, the temporal meaning of the picture can be repeated and revised in the future. "Hair-flower New Language" takes the female image of the original painting as a carrier to reflect the complexity and diversity of society and culture, and reflects the space-time elements from tradition to contemporary, from the past to the present.
