Concept
This is a project and derivative work from my internship at the Palace Museum. Traditional culture is an integral part of multiculturalism and the theme of this work is to promote the 24 solar terms and the Palace collection. I use light-hearted motion graphics to allow more people to experience the beauty of Chinese nature and culture in today's society.
Inspiration
As a native Beijinger, I have always been interested in the culture of the Palace Museum. There is an ancient Chinese idea of being accordant with the rhythm of nature. So, in addition to the artistry of cultural relics, I aim to uncover cultural and natural qualities behind them, which are related to solar terms. The combination of art and nature often forms a beautiful picture, but many people are not in Beijing and do not have the opportunity to appreciate this. Therefore, I use digital media art that can be easily spread to allow more people to participate in experiencing the cultural charm.
